Thursday July 24,  7p.m. - Pike County Democratic Committee monthly meeting. All Democrats are invited to attend the meeting at the new PCDC elections headquarters in the Old Schoolhouse in Milford, 201 West Harford Street (opposite the Beer Barn.)

August 2008

Thursday August 28,  7p.m. - Pike County Democratic Committee monthly meeting. All Democrats are invited to attend the meeting at the Laurel Ridge Restaurant. Please join us. You are welcome to come early and dine or snack and meet other supporters. The Laurel Ridge is on Route 739. 1 1/3 miles south of Exit 34 off I-84. September 2008

Monday Sept 15 - Board of Elections start to accept Civilian Absentee Ballot applications.

Friday Sept 19 - Board of Elections begin sending out absentee ballots to military and overeseas voters.

Sat Sep 20 - Annual Dinner of the Pike County Democratic Committee. Come join us for a wonderful evening of dinner and dancing at the historic Cliff Park Inn. Music by DJ Steve. 6pm-11pm. Cocktail hour, dinner, desert $50.00pp.

October 2008

Mon Oct 6 - Last day to register before November Election.

Mon Oct 6 - BOE to place on public exhibition one or more voting machines containing the ballot showing the offices and questions to be voted upon..

Mon Oct 20 - BOE to issue Street Lists for each district to each political party and organized bodies of citizens.

Tues Oct 21 - BOE to begin mailing all absentee ballots.

Between Sat Oct 25 - Nov 1 - BOE to issue election Proclamation for November election in 2-3 newspapers.

Tues Oct 28 - BOE to make available for public inspection Registered Absentee Voters Files, Military, Veterans' and Emmergency Civilians Absentee Voters' Files.

Tues Oct 28 5 PM - Deadline for BOE to receive Civilian Absentee Ballot Application for the November Election.

Thurs Oct 30 - BOE to have forms of ballots and voting machine diagrams for public inspection.

Thurs Oct 30 - Upon request, BOE to supply two specimens of ballots for each election district to chairmen of political parties.

Thurs Oct 30 - Secretary of the Commonwealth publicly report total number of registered electors for each political party in each county.

Fri Oct 31 5 PM - Deadline for Pike County Board of Elections to receive voted Civilian Absentee Ballots.

Fri Oct 31 - BOE to post list of names of electors by district to whom absentee ballots were issued.

November 2008

Tues Nov 4 7 AM to 8 PM - General Election.

Weds Nov 5 2 AM - Judge of Election returns to BOE all Provisional and Absentee ballots.

Fri Nov 7 9 AM - County Return Board meets to compute and canvas returns.

Weds Nov 12 - Deadline for BOE to receive all military and overseas electors' absentee ballots.

Thurs Nov 13 - Returns Board count military and overseas voters' absentee ballots.
